Tonga National Qualifications and Accreditation Board (TNQAB) ensure that Tonga's qualifications are valued as credible, both nationally and internationally.

TNQAB services the tertiary education sectors and is responsible for the quality assurance of all Post Compulsory Education and Training providers and accreditation for a course of study leading to a stated qualification; or a short course made up of units from a course of study which may lead up to a stated qualification.

TNQAB's priority is to support our clients by providing effective and efficient services, within our statutory mandate, that meet their specific needs. The Board shall only register a provider as a university if the provider meets the characteristics of a university as set by the Board.
